Salary: $72,800 - 87,360 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 4–5 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, ISP, or carrier Ethernet settings.
• We need a solid grasp of core IP networking concepts and network engineering fundamentals.
• We prefer hands-on experience with routers and switches, ideally on the Nokia/Alcatel platform.
• We value knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or IS-IS.
• Familiarity with MPLS principles and carrier-grade networking technologies is important.
• We look for understanding of Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, STP, and LACP.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability are required.
• You should be able to work remotely and effectively within a collaborative team.
• We want someone eager to learn new technologies and progress along a network engineering career path.
• An associates or bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Nokia NRS I certification or other entry-level networking certifications such as CCNA or JNCIA is a plus.
• Exposure to data center networking and transport technologies such as fiber, microwave, or cellular networks is beneficial.
• Experience in a service provider or telecommunications environment is preferred.

• We will have you support the implementation, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of IP/MPLS network infrastructure.
• You will assist with testing and validating network technologies and configurations in both lab and production environments.
• You will take part in network upgrades, deployments, and related documentation work.
• You will troubleshoot network problems and partner with senior engineers to resolve complex issues.
• You will collaborate with network operations and engineering teams to help maintain reliable, scalable services.
• You will monitor network performance and help identify opportunities to improve it.

We are seeking a Remote IP Network Engineer I to support an Anchorage, Alaska-based client while working fully remotely during daytime business hours in the Alaska time zone, Monday through Friday. This contract role is based out of Little Rock, AR, and offers the chance to build experience in carrier-grade telecommunications, IP/MPLS networks, carrier Ethernet, and next-generation telecom technologies.
