Job Description

Internal Medicine Physician

Compensation: $300K-$500K per year

Job Type: Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, No call.

A well-established, physician-led group with locations throughout Long Island, is currently seeking to hire a Internal Medicine Physician. This practice has built a stellar reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration. 100% outpatient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests
  • Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice.
  • Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
  • Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
  • Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
  • Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
