Job Description

With full R&D facilities and a highly experienced team you will have the equipment, encouragement, and expertise to fully develop your concepts from early crafted visions through to fully working prototypes and design for manufacture. Our work environment is second to none - a fully equipped 1,500 sq m. combined studio, workshops and labs designed to maximise experimentation, creativity, and fast progress. PA’s Irish studio is located in the beautiful surroundings of Co. Wicklow – ‘the Garden of Ireland’ – known for hiking, cycling, trail running and other outdoor activities. The office is five minutes from Bray’s seafront where people enjoy walks, sea swimming, surfing, cafes, and restaurants, and 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre, for those looking for more vibrant evenings, weekends and nightlife. Excellent portfolio of industrial design experience showcasing your skills, thinking, and methodology Bachelor’s degree in industrial design Minimum 3 years professional experience (ideally in consultancy but not essential) Fluent and confident with hand sketching and craft modelling Exceptional aesthetic sensibility Empathetic to user needs, motivations, and behaviours Thorough understanding of three-dimensional design and skilled with Rhino/Solid Works and Keyshot (or similar). Proficiency across multiple design tools you will use in projects (e.g. Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative suite, Teams etc.) Experienced at tuning in to brand values and crafting compelling stories Experience working with consumer and healthcare brands is a positive but not essential Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to articulate and convince others of your ideas and strategies Solid understanding of industry trends and advancements in design and creativity Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements Knowledgeable and passionate about emerging technologies (AI, Machine learning, Generative AI, XR, etc.) and its impact on design solutions.
