Job Description

Heavy Industrial Field Services Project Manager

Brief Description

The Heavy Industrial Field Services Project Manager is a customer-facing role responsible for developing business, scoping and quoting work, and managing heavy industrial service and repair projects from initial customer engagement through project completion. This role blends technical field service, project management, and sales responsibility.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary field-based contact for customers
Develop and maintain customer relationships and identify new service opportunities
Scope, estimate, and quote heavy industrial service and repair projects
Secure customer authorization and manage projects through completion
Coordinate shop and field resources to meet scope, schedule, and cost objectives
Manage scope changes, negotiate additional costs, and obtain customer approvals
Monitor labor, material costs, and overall project performance
Review and approve final invoices and support accounts receivable efforts
Participate in weekly sales and project review meetings
Ensure safety, quality, and customer service standards are met
Support emergency, weekend, or after-hours field work as required

Qualifications

Experience in heavy industrial field service, project management, or technical sales
Strong technical background in industrial equipment, machining, welding, or mechanical systems
Proven ability to scope work, estimate costs, and manage multiple projects
Strong customer-facing communication and negotiation skills
Ability to read technical drawings and understand industrial specifications
