Hiring CNC Machine Operator!

1st shift: 6a-6p (M-Th)

2nd shift : 6p - 6a (M-Th)

$20-26/hr (BOE)

Job Description:

This role is responsible for operating CNC equipment within a steel fabrication environment, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The CNC Machine Operator will support daily shop operations by cutting, drilling, and preparing structural steel components while working closely with fabrication and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines to cut, drill, punch, and mark structural steel components.
• Load and unload raw materials such as beams, plates, and tubing.
• Select and run machine programs based on work orders and blueprints.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain quality and production efficiency.
• Perform basic setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards before moving to the next process.
• Label and stage completed materials for fabrication, welding, or assembly.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet daily goals.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and issues.

This is a Permanent position based out of Taylors, SC.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
